Study Guide Initiative

Education is the cornerstone of development. While it should be prevalent, good education is scarce. It sometimes needs a helping hand especially in Rural India where textbooks, school infrastructure and teachers are in short supply. Chirag’s Study Guide Initiative is one small brick that builds children’s confidence in successfully completing their high school exams.

Why Study Guides?

It all started one late evening as a conversation. Mrudula’s mother, Athuluri Parvathi had told her about about a need for 10th and 12th standard exam guides at ZPHS HemaChandrapuram school in Kothagudem, Telangana.

What started as a small venture to supply 40 books to help the students of a school in rural Andra Pradesh has now started a revolution in helping 31 schools with 1500 study guides and still counting….

The requests for helping students write those crucial exams that will carve a their future path are pouring in. Mrudula’s mother, Athuluri Parvathi, has taken point and is co-ordinating the effort to distributing the books before the exam season rolls in.

So far we have reached about 1500 study guide sets in both English and Telugu medium . These books will be recycled to the for coming 10th grade students.

Our Plan….
To continue this initiative and help schools all over rural India, every year by providing updated study guides.Planning to reach about 1000 kids each year.

We Need…..Your support, your funds to constantly keep up with the growing demand and requests flowing in from the schools. Any amount will make this a reality. Below is the estimated cost of funding one school.

COST OF FUNDING ONE SCHOOL :

2000 – 5000 USD (it costs about $7 per kids to sponsor a child ) .
